Touring Projects:

Southern Exposure-Christian Howes Quintet with special guest, Richard Galliano: Regarded by many as the “heir-apparent to Astor Piazzolla”, accordionist Richard Galliano lends his talents to this special collaboration on this 2013 Resonance Records release. (5-et)

This program features a fusion of modern jazz with a passionate mix of “southern” cultures including Argentinian tango, Brazilian choro and bossa, and Spanish flamenco. *typically performed with Victor Prieto on accordion from Yo Yo Ma’s Song of Joy and Peace album.

Christian Howes and The Dangerous Band: (4-et or 5-et) “Out of the Blue” juxtaposes stylistically divergent threads including classical crossover, pop, rock, and modern jazz with a sensibility that is always conscious of the blues. Christian Howes and The Dangerous band performs a mix of original and standard tunes off of Howes’ album “Out Of The Blue”, as well as an evolving mix of repertoire. Also available in the “rock/jam” territory as well.
